The 2012 Season

Welcome to the 2012 season in what will be another fantastic year for the Redbacks. Our existing members and players would have received a letter which included all of the information you need to get started this season, along with instructions on how to register on-line. Note: Changes have been made to the registration website since our communication.

To assist new and existing members, the information is available below as well. Note: There has been a change of dates/times for junior grading days.

Registration

This year on-line registrations are available for existing members via www.myfootballclub.com.au Personal login details were provided in our communique.

New players will need to come to the clubhouse to complete the registration process. All new U6 and U7 players who register for the first time with the Redbacks will receive a free uniform (shirt, shorts & socks) to help with your first season.

Junior Registration Requirements

• An original birth certificate (first time players only),
• Must be turning 5 in 2012 (born between 1st January and 31st December 2007)
• Proof of residency in the Sutherland Shire from mum or dad.*

Senior Registration Requirements

• First time players will need to provide either an original birth certificate or Drivers Licence as confirmation of age,
• Proof of residency in the Sutherland Shire.*

* Proof of residency can be in the form of water or council rate notice, rental agreement or drivers licence. Originals will be required for sighting.

Photo IDs

• Photo IDs are required for all new players from the U10 age group and up (photos are not required for U6 to U9).
• If a child played in the U9s in 2011 a photo will be required in 2012.
• Photos for existing players will be available via the on-line registration process. If no photo available one should be uploaded or taken (webcam) through the on-line system.

Uniforms

Uniforms will be available for purchasing on registration and grading days.

This years exciting announcement is that we have got new playing shirts, with a new design & style and new material. All players in competition age groups must play in these shirts from this year and therefore must purchase a new one before taking the field for round one. All players from U12 and up will be required to purchase a new players shirt in 2012 ($30).

All players from U6 to U11 will be provided with a loan shirt which will need to be returned to the club by the team manager at the end of the season. We also sell caps, beanies, sloppy joes and jackets.

Non-Playing Members

Coaches and Managers who are not parents or players will also be required to become non-playing senior members and sign that they agree to be bound by the Code of Conduct. This also ensures they are covered for insurance purposes. Previous non-playing members can also register on-line in 2012. New members will be required to register at the clubhouse.

2012 Registration Fees

Under 6 - $120 / Under 7 - $125 / Under 8 & 9 - $140 / Under 10 & 11 - $165 / Under 12 - $170 / Under 13 to 16 - $180 / Under 18 - $215 / Under 19 to 21 - $275

PL1 - $290 / Senior Women & Men - $285

Student Discount: $15

Late Fees

Registations taken from Tuesday 21st February will incur a late fee of $15 for juniors and $25 for seniors.

Payments

You will need to pay on-line when you re-register on-line or we have EFTPOS / Credit Card payment facilities available at the clubhouse. We accept Mastercard and Visa cards only (American Express and Diners are not accepted). On-line payments need to be made at the time of re-registration to validate and complete the registration process.

Family and Student Discounts

The Redbacks will again be offering a family discount of $25 to the third and youngest family member who registers or $50 to the fourth and consecutive family members who register. The student discount has been re-introduced by the FFA this year but at a much lower rate. Therefore, the student fee payable for the 2012 season is $260.

Grading and Player Placement

Junior teams up to Under 15s will be graded again in 2012. It is important for all players to register on time to take full advantage of the grading procedures. All players up to the the Under 15s are required to attend the nominated grading times and dates as they are important to ensure the teams are graded correctly. Although teams from U6 to U10s do not play "competition" the players are still graded into teams based on ability and the Grading Committee needs to consider each player's skills and the team capabilities as a whole.
