2012 Coaches and Managers Information Night

Each year the Redbacks Committee run a Coaches and Managers night to ensure all our Coach/Manager volunteers are fully aware of their week to week responsibilities. This is especially important for those who have not been a Coach or Manager in the past, but also serves as a refresher for those who have been around for some time and need to come up to date with the latest information.

This information will help the season to run smoothly and for all Club and Association requirements to be met by team representatives. Team kits will also be handed out on the night.

It is essential for every Coach and Manager of under 18 teams to be in attendance as Working with Children forms will need to be completed to ensure we are complying with NSW law. Two forms of identification will be required, preferably a passport (if available) and Drivers Licence. Any questions in relation to these requirements can be directed to the Redbacks Member Protection Information Officers: Liz Matthews on 0423 890 002 or Renee Stephens on 0431 376 904.

The 2011 Coaches and Managers Information Night details are;

Date: Tuesday 20th March

Time: 7pm drinks and nibblies for 7.30pm start

Coaching Courses

With the 2012 season fast approaching now is a great time to have coaches accredited via the FFA Community Coaching Pathway. The SSFA in conjunction with the FFA are offering both the Youth and Senior Certificate/Licence Courses which are aimed at coaches of 12-15 year olds and 16 year plus respectively.

Coaches of these age groups will find the information on these courses invaluable. The courses are largely practical in nature so coaches will get to experience first-hand some of the latest methods and techniques used in the FFA National Curriculum. They will also receive FFA recognised accreditation, free access to S2S - a great online coaching tool and get to meet fellow coaches with similar objectives.

The following link provides further detail and the ability to Register: shirefootball.com - http://shirefootball.com.au/coaching/courses/coaching-course-to-be-held-at-bates-drive/

Enquiries relating to coaching development and support at the Caringbah Redbacks can be directed to Giulio Di Stefano, Technical Director on 0412 281 329.
