As we gear up for the 2026 football season, there’s an exciting update from the Sutherland Shire Football Association (SSFA) that will make match day smoother, greener, and more efficient for everyone involved.
In 2026, we are moving into the digital era with the rollout of online match sheets and digital player ID cards!
All accessible via the SSFA MyCompApp.
📱 What’s Changing?
- Online Match Sheets
Say goodbye to stacks of paper! Match sheets are now digital and managed through the SSFA MyCompApp. - Digital ID Cards
Players will have digital ID cards in the app – No more collecting, storing, and returning plastic cards each week.
This change applies across all competitions, including MiniRoos, so every coach, manager, and player will benefit from a cleaner, faster match day experience.
⚙️ Why the Switch?
The shift to digital comes from SSFA’s commitment to:
✅ Efficiency – Faster access and fewer admin headaches
✅ Sustainability – Cutting down paper and plastic waste (over 12,000 paper sheets and 14,500 plastic cards were used last season!)
✅ Accuracy – Ensuring match documentation is correct and easy to manage
✅ Modernisation – Keeping pace with technology that’s already familiar to most participants in the MyCompApp.
🧠 What Coaches & Managers Need to Know
To access digital match sheets and ID cards in the app:
- Registration – All coaches and managers must be registered in PlayFootball before Round 1.
Coaches please register here
Managers please register here - WWCC – A valid Working With Children Check must be current at the time of registration.
Apply for a WWCC here - App Access – Only registered coaches and managers will be able to view and use match sheets / ID cards in the MyCompApp.
⚠️ It’s recommended that each team registers two managers to make sure someone always has access on match day.
