Caringbah Redbacks FC officially recognised as a Football Australia Club Changer

We are incredibly proud to announce that Caringbah Redbacks FC has officially been awarded 1 Star in Football Australia’s Club Changer Program — a national club development initiative that recognises clubs committed to building stronger, more inclusive, and more welcoming football communities.

The Club Changer Program, delivered by Football Australia in partnership with the Australian Sports Commission, is designed to protect and enhance grassroots clubs, build long-term viability, and create positive environments for every player, coach, volunteer, and family involved in the game.

A commitment to women and girls

A central pillar of our Club Changer recognition is our commitment to growing women’s and girls’ football at the Redbacks. This award reflects the genuine effort our club has made to ensure that every girl who wants to play football has a place to belong — with the same opportunities, the same support, and the same sense of community as every other member of our club.

Football Australia has set an ambitious national goal of achieving 50:50 gender parity by 2027, and as a Club Changer club, Caringbah Redbacks FC is proud to be part of making that happen right here in the Sutherland Shire.

What’s next

By achieving 1 Star, Caringbah Redbacks FC has now been welcomed into Football Australia’s Club Development Network, unlocking access to exclusive resources, national webinars, expert speakers, and networking opportunities. We are already setting our sights on 2 Star status, with plans to progress through additional modules including Safeguarding, Participation, and Governance.
