Redbacks On Fire
Arduin Hat-Trick Ignites 5-1 State Cup Final Rout
Caringbah Redbacks weren’t about to let history repeat itself.
12 months on from their gutting defeat in the Bill Cullinan Cup final, they returned to the summit of the State Cup, with one goal: finish the job.
And finish it they did… in ruthless, emphatic fashion.
A 5-1 dismantling of Coogee United delivered not just silverware, but redemption.
From the opening whistle, Redbacks looked a side with unfinished business. Inside only three minutes, Kane Arduin struck first. Latching onto a precise pass, the striker kept his composure to slot home and fire the Redbacks into an early lead.
Midway through the first half, it was captain Jordan Wang who extended the advantage. Picked out by a clever through ball from Anthony Mann, Wang showed typical composure to finish clinically and put Caringbah firmly in control.
But Coogee weren’t done. Just after the break, they clawed one back through Preston on 59 minutes, converting from a set piece to spark brief hope of a comeback.
North Caringbah’s response?
Ruthless.
Wang, who had dictated play all afternoon, turned provider again… setting up Arduin to restore the two-goal cushion. The Redbacks were relentless now.
A defensive lapse from Coogee’s keeper gifted Arduin his third of the day, completing a statement making hat-trick.
The final word came from the bench. Super sub, Nya Cofie, introduced late and then unleashed an absolute bomb from distance to seal the win in style.
Not even the loss of Matt Weston, who tore his hamstring in the first half chasing down a Coogee break, could slow the Redbacks’ march. They defended resolutely, attacked with precision, and most importantly, buried the demons of last year’s final.
This isn’t just a win. It rewrites History.
In our 65th season, this victory means everything to our club, to our players, and to the community in North Caringbah.
The Bill Cullinan Cup is coming home. And it belongs to the Redbacks.
